About project

The reference point for the work on the satellite navigation system through the Great Waterway Loop of Wielkopolska was a collaboration between the Wielkopolska Tourist Organisation (WOT ) and the Department of Sport and Tourism of the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region in the expansion of the system GPSwielkopolska .

 

Mobile GPS on the Great Waterway Loop of Wielkopolska together with a dedicated web site was created within the project . Comprehensive promotion of branded products of water tourism of the Great Waterway Loop of Wielkopolska  . The project is implemented by WOT in partnership with representatives of 26 governments and two regional institutions in Wielkopolska . Project financing and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund in the framework of the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Programme for the years 2007-2013 . Financial and technical support they provided the partners and the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region .

The aim of the project is to conduct a coordinated and comprehensive action to promote the tourist attractions of the Great Waterway Loop of Wielkopolska and the surrounding area. The project aims to highlight the attractiveness of the natural waterway and recreational and cultural values ​​of nearby locations . Scope of the project covers an area of Wielkopolska and selected places in Poland and the European Union. Expected target groups in the domestic market are residents of Wielkopolska, neighboring regions and large cities and agglomerations Polish - people practicing tourism motorboat and kayak , flat-bottomed boat owners , boats and more. Promotion of the project and its various stages also include German (tourists from the region Oder Partnership - the inhabitants of Berlin and Brandenburg , Mecklenburg Vorpommern and Saxony ) and the Dutch market and the French market .
